What is the difference between the discovery call and the compliance review?
The discovery call is free and conversational. No documents, no analysis. It is simply a conversation to see if Via Klara is the right fit for your practice. The $150 compliance review is a paid, documented assessment. You share your existing contracts, pay practices, and handbook, and we deliver a written gap report telling you exactly what needs to be fixed and in what order. Think of the call as the door, and the review as the first step inside.
Is Via Klara a law firm?
No. Via Klara is a compliance consulting practice. We provide business compliance assessments, document preparation, and guidance, not legal advice. For matters requiring licensed legal representation, we will tell you clearly.
Do you only work with Illinois practices?
Currently yes. Our services are built around Illinois employment law, including IWPCA, IHRA, IL Paid Leave, and IDOL standards. If you are outside Illinois, we are not the right fit yet.
How long does an engagement take?
Done-with-you services are typically delivered within 5 to 7 business days after intake. Done-for-you services range from 7 to 14 business days depending on complexity.
What if I am not sure what I need?
Start with the free discovery call. If you need a deeper diagnosis, the $150 Compliance Review is the right next step. It will tell you precisely what your practice needs and in what order, and the fee applies toward whatever you book.
Is the $150 compliance review refundable?
It is not refundable, but it is fully credited toward any Via Klara project you book. So if you move forward, you have already paid toward your engagement.
